As expected for a commercial pickup, the steel of the bedside was noticeably thicker and more rigid than that of a standard passenger car. This required the use of tools offering greater leverage and more physical effort to manipulate the metal effectively. - Unforeseen Issue 2: Internal Reinforcing Brace
An unexpected vertical reinforcing brace was located inside the bedside, partially obstructing access to the forward-most part of the dent. The main wiring harness connector for the tail light was secured with a very tight factory clip deep within the panel. This required a long-reach clip tool and careful manipulation to release without placing any stress on the wiring loom.

Under constant heat, the large dent was carefully lifted, starting with the bulk of the damage and finishing with the finer crease work. Extensive blending was carried out to ensure the large, flat area had a uniform and flawless finish. The panel was then polished to restore full gloss.
Outcome & Conclusion
The extensive damage to the Isuzu D-Max's bedside has been comprehensively repaired. The panel now exhibits its original contour, free from the large dent and associated creases. The successful use of PDR means the vehicle retains its original factory paint, and perhaps more importantly for a working vehicle, its original, unbroken cathodic **e-coating**. This ensures the panel maintains its maximum corrosion resistance, an advantage that would have been lost with a traditional bodyshop repair involving sanding, filling, and repainting.
